It Begins and Ends with You

Life begins and ends with you, but it is never about you.  Physically you are attached too and are part of a never ending cosmos. We could say that things are regenerated in the sense that nothing ever really "ends".  There is constant change, a movement that is in reality non-spatial. Time and space are non-existent.  There is only the moment in which all things exist simultaneously.  But we cannot comprehend such a reality because we are tethered to spatial cognition.  Only when we go beyond thoughts limitations do we realize something that cannot be known.  An "in the moment" experiencing. As such it can never be an experience...part of ones knowledge.  One can be aware and through this awareness that is not seeking or demanding anything it envelopes you in a kind of peaceful self aware moment.

It is not a great mystery.  One does not need to consult the "so-called enlightened ones".  They are as much in the dark as anyone else.  Those who claim to know...do not know.  They only know the conditioning of their own desires and beliefs.  A person needs to have a burning passion to understand beyond words and symbols.  Whatever is gained in the moment is also lost in that same moment.  It is life and death as a single unitary cosmic regeneration that is not of space/time.  A consciousness that is without a formulated and predictable path.  Although we talk about it and stand in awe and wonderment we cannot seek and find.  We cannot know it as a path toward a goal.  We cannot teach it as religion or as an ambition.  It comes to us like a cool breeze uninvited and washes over us like the morning sun.  It is life and death in a single breath.  The negation of all save the absolute moment.

Understanding the Self

Everyone has heard or at least has been exposed to the term "know thyself".  But is it really possible to "know" the origin of thought?  And through knowing be able to understand the self and its motivations. The known is the past.  It is thoughts experience.  Experience is very limited and can only predict a possibility or approximation never an actual reality.  So trying to understand the self based on experience is superficial. To realize the actual reality of the self one must be totally aware in the moment. Not escaping into the illusion of our interpretation of what was as what should be.  All emotion and attachment must be negated.  Not many people are willing or able to do this, because actual reality destroys persona.

When you observe you are engaged in the activity of exchanging thoughts and ideas either silently or verbally.  In doing so, are you aware of the one who compares and is constantly measuring against the self that thinks it knows.  Because, if you are carefully and totally aware then you start to realize that what is observed is actually a projection of your self.  There is a space between the observer and that which is observed. Within that space is the self projected realm of ideological illusion.  It is the duality of thinker and thought.  The truth is this...the observer is in actual reality the observed.  The thinker is the thought.  You cannot possibly begin to understand yourself until you see and realize this one inescapable fact.

Because we are constantly being hypnotized by our own thoughts, we live not in actual reality but in a reality based on our self created neurosis. Realizing the truth of the moment and understanding the self are one in the same.  They are the out come of the fusion of observer and observed.  Looking and seeing as "one" rather than the "many".  One sees without distortion the actual reality of the absolute moment. Actual reality does not contain your opinions or distortions.  It is what it is without the self that knows. When one observes as an entity that is without the "many" then an intelligence is born out of the emptiness of that moment.  That intelligence is not of the self that knows.  It is routed in the unknown, a spontaneous, uninvited moment of pure freedom that realizes the truth and love of the unconditioned.
