The Totally New

How does a person realize a state of being that is totally new? Something that has no connection to what has been. A realization that is devoid of the machinations of teachers, books, and so called spirituality. A person is always searching, seeking for reasons that can only lead to the illusion of the known. Rather than seek one must allow what is the reality of the moment to be fully and completely realized. For it is in the reality of the moment that one sees the truth of what cannot be defined. It is seeing through the illusion of the self that knows. Breaking through the defined limitations of a being that is a repetition of what has been. One cannot be told how to "get there". A person must listen and understand through the freedom of a mind that is not attached to any belief or system. This is the beginning, freedom that allows one to leave behind all that limits, all that causes conflict and confusion. It is done not through an act of will but through the realization of self and the understanding of that which goes beyond all the minds self created and self defined spiritual pursuits. Whatever the mind creates as a concept to be continuously re-examined and repeated is illusion. Each moment is the new and never before, so it must be realized that each moment is a renewal of the illumination of the unknown and undefined. It is a rebirth from moment to moment, an emptiness that brings about the possibility of the unimagined.

It is difficult, the mind wants to cling to an idea. An ideal that has the illusion of substance and accomplishment. We want to be a Buddhist, Taoist, Christian, Muslim or whatever with all the trappings of identification and association. But these trappings are the very thing that create illusion and infuse us with the conflict of position and opposition. Its not enough to disassociate yourself. You must go deep and realize the fear that has prompted you to seek. Whatever you deny or negate will be displaced by some other ideal. One must realize directly the state of a mind that needs occupation and substance. Only then can you see the true nature of your own confused and conflicted consciousness.
